Engineering Director at IBM. Building multi-agent AI systems for the enterprise — and figuring out the rest after hours.
##About
Pakistani-Canadian based in Ontario. I'm an Engineering Director in IBM's AI Lab, leading a team of 20 forward-deployed engineers working on watsonx Orchestrate — building multi-agent applications that have to survive the messy reality of enterprise environments.
My day-to-day is supervisor-collaborator architectures, prompt engineering, capacity planning, and the occasional sharp opinion about why a client's middleware is fighting them more than helping them.

##Work
Engagements span global telecomsreveal, healthcare payersreveal, retailreveal and commercial banksreveal, and a major airlinereveal — across North America, Latin America, and the Middle East. The work sits at the intersection of product & solution engineering: shipping reference architectures, designing agentic systems, hardening agent designs against real production traffic, and writing the playbooks that come out of doing it the wrong way first.
The interesting work isn't getting an agent to talk — it's deciding what it should refuse to do, who owns the workspace state, and where the supervisor pattern breaks down at scale.
Outside delivery, I'm a technology explorer — I love reverse-engineering things, learning their breaking points, and helping improve them.
